Geometric Frames

1.29.2024

I have been wanting to use this Geometric Frames bundle for a while and finally got around to it. These are clean and simple cards with bright shimmery sprays and lots of white space.

I started by heat embossing the geometric frames on Deluxe White Cardstock. Then I sprayed Two-Tone metallic sprays over each shape. I used Fuchsia, Royal Purple and Ocean Blue. I was pretty heavy handed since I wanted the spray to cover each of the shapes. While I had the spays out, I splattered each color onto a white card panel. I tried to focus on the bottom left corner but it’s splatter, it just does it’s own thing. I also spritzed the bottom left corner of a white envelope to coordinate.

After the shapes were completely dry I stamped the sentiment in the center of each. In hindsight, I wished I would’ve done that before die cutting because it was difficult to make sure they were straight. And believe me, they are not straight.

I trimmed down the white panel with splatter and adhered it to a trimmed down coordinating mat. I used Azalea, Iris, and Bermuda cardstock. Then I used the flourish stamps from the set to stamp directly on the panel. I lined up each shape and picked a flourish that I felt went with the shape. I definitely used my Misti stamp platform for this as I did not want to mess anything up at this point.

I popped up the shape with foam adhesive and called it a day. I think this would be a great set to give a friend or a coworker as a gift.

Thanks for popping in. Check back on Wednesday for a special birthday card I created for my niece’s 21st birthday. Just waiting for her to receive it before I blog about it.
